At Your Pride & Joy -Home or Away my mission is to provide the highest level of care for your chinchillas stay & giving you peace of mind knowing your chinchilla boarding with me is safe & happy. I strive to create a comfortable & fun environment for all chinchillas in my care.
With over 15 years of experience with chinchillas & also pet boarding for chinchillas, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in caring for this exotic breed. I myself have had chinchillas over the years & still do. Chinchillas are a great big part of our lives & bring us so much joy with their cheeky personalities.

I have two cameras
My homes have secure panels which I attach and fit all the way around the cage & are high as we know they like to jump and bounce around. I understand the importance of exercise & playtime. Tunnels & play toys are also provided.

I have 6 large cages. Each home is equipped with comfortable bedding and plenty of space to play. I have plenty of interactive play toys for lots of fun.

Air-conditioning
I have 2 air-conditioning units & an additional air cooler & fans for the hot days if required. The cabin is fully insulated so keeps cool in the summer months and warm in the winter.

I believe that chinchillas are members of the family. I treat all Chinchillas in my care with love, respect & compassion.
My Expertise
I have a deep understanding of pet behavior and needs. I have the expertise to provide specialized care for chinchillas with medical conditions, special diets & other requirements.
What I provide for your chinchillas stay
Chinchillas!
At Your Pride & Joy -Home or Away your chinchilla will be provided with a home with 5 level or 3 level for jumping and ledges. I have hammocks & houses to sleep. I have a night light & comforting music low during the night. Out of cage time is supplied each night supervised. Regular Whatsapp photos will be sent of your chinchilla boarding with me.
Chinchillas & hot conditions!
In the Summer months the air-conditioning is on as chinchillas fur is very dense as they do not sweat & can suffer on hot days. On extremely hot days even with the air-conditioning keeping cool. I do not let chinchillas out of their home. This is just being a responsible chinchilla owner.
About their home
All chinchillas that stay with me will be provided the right home for their requirements. If your chinchilla lives on their own they will have their own cage and private space for play area. Bonded chinchillas will share their home together. I respect all individual needs.
Food Time
I can also supply the pellet food if your chinchillas diet is Selective Science £5.00 for the full duration of their stay.
Chinchillas are also allowed to eat fresh spinach. A couple of leaves a few times each week.
On supplying your own chinchillas food
Please when suppling your chinchillas pellets it is in a plastic food container clearly labelled with name and the same with treats. (Hay does not need to be in a container just labelled, If you wish to use your own hay)

In the seasons of the colder weather. I have heating (SMART Heaters) connected to my phone enabling me to adjust the room temperature away from home & a digital thermometer which is also connected to my phone (App) WIFI so I can check on the temperature at all times.
