At Your Pride & Joy -Home or Away my mission is to provide the highest level of care for your chinchillas while providing peace of mind for you while away. I strive to create a safe, comfortable and fun environment for all chinchillas in my care.
Experience
With over 15 years of experience with chinchillas, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in caring for this exotic breed. I myself have had chinchillas over the years and still do. Chinchillas are a great big part of our lives and bring so much joy with their cheeky personalities.
My Homes
My chinchilla homes are designed to provide a home away from home for your chins. I have spacious play areas, comfortable sleeping quarters.

What I provide for your chinchillas stay
Chinchillas!
At Your Pride & Joy -Home or Away your chinchilla will be provided with a home with 5 level or 3 level for jumping and ledges. I have hammocks and houses to sleep. I have a night light and music low for comfort during the night. Out of cage time is supplied each night supervised with a pen attached to the cage. Regular Whatsapp photos will be sent of your chinchilla boarding with me.
Chinchillas & hot conditions!
In the Summer months the air-conditioning is on as chinchillas fur is so dense they do not sweat and can suffer on hot days. On extremely hot days even with the air-conditioning keeping cool. I do not let chinchillas out of their home. This is just being a responsible chinchilla owner.
About their home
All chinchillas that stay with me will be provided the right home for their requirements. If your chinchilla lives on their own they will have their own cage and private space for play area. Bonded chinchillas will share their home together. I respect all individual needs.
Wooden toys supplied for your chinchillas boarding
I can supply the wooden chew toys for your chinchillas stay. This maybe a more practical option for you. Instead of worrying if you have packed all their wooden treats. I do suggest you bring something that is familiar to their home with you as this can make the new surroundings comforting until they have settled into their holiday home. The cost for myself to supply the unused new wood toys would be £12.00 for the whole duration of their stay and you can either take home at the end of the stay or I can put away for your chinchillas next visit.
Food Time
I can also supply the pellet food if your chinchillas diet is Selective Science £5.00 for the full duration of their stay.
Chinchillas are also allowed to eat fresh spinach. A couple of leaves a few times each week.
Food Arrangements
On supplying your own chinchillas food
Please when suppling your chinchillas pellets (Hay does not need to be in a container just labelled, If you wish to use your own hay) it is in a plastic food container clearly labelled with name and the same with treats.

In the colder months
In the seasons of the colder weather. I have heating in the cabin with a digital thermometer which is connected to my phone (App) WIFI so I can check on the temperature at all times.
